A token lets the la command-line tool and the Android app use the library as you. Uploads are credited to your name. Make one per computer or phone and revoke it when you stop using it. Set up the Android app
New token . Copy it now: it is shown only once.
Set up the CLI:
Play Protect. The app is not on Google Play, so Play Protect does not know its developer and may warn you or offer to scan it. If you trust this site, open “More details” and choose “Install anyway”. The wording differs from phone to phone.
Updates. The app does not update itself. To update, come back here, download the new version and install it over the old one. Your token, settings and songs stay.
Developer builds. A debug build is a separate app (com.erkantaylan.listenalong.debug), so both can be installed side by side. They do not share a token or settings: connect this one on its own.
Revoking. The token acts as you, so keep it private and use one per device. To cut a device off, press “Revoke” next to its token on your profile; the app then gets “Token rejected” until it has a new one.
Songs someone marked as broken (needs replacement). Click a song's warning icon for the reasons. Replacing a song's audio (the swap button, or la upload --replace) clears its reports.
